December marked 35 years since Pronar was founded. The company began by exporting and importing agricultural and food goods and mineral fertilizers. In the following years, the company’s involvement expanded – first to service and then to assemble agricultural tractors. This was a major boost to the company’s development.
Today Pronar is a world pioneer in the production of modern recycling, municipal and agricultural machinery. Wide range of products is complemented by an equally wide selection of manufactured components: axles, pneumatic and hydraulic components and goods made of plastic. The machines and their components are produced at nine factories with nearly 3,000 employees. This puts Pronar in first place among private employers in Podlaskie voivodeship.
Such dynamic development would not be possible without a modern technological equipment. In this area, Pronar definitely sets world trends, as evidenced, for example, by: an automated line for the production of disc wheels (developed fully by Pronar engineers), a robotic welding process (e.g., a robot that welds screens for trommel screens) and hydraulic presses with a pressure of 3,000 t/cm2 and 5,000 t/cm2, as well as state-of-the-art machines from world leaders such as Trumpf, PTV, Closs, Kafo and Mazak. As Pronar’s CEO, Sergiusz Martyniuk, announced, “the year 2024 will bring further large investments in production automation.”
A very important organizational unit of the company is Pronar Wheels (the former Disc Wheels Department), whose origins date back to 1997. When deciding to establish it, it was assumed that wheels would be produced only for internal needs. However, the Department has expanded significantly. It has acquired not only modern production technologies, but also a very large number of buyers of its products, among them: John Deere, Kubota, Zetor, Amazone, Fendt, Bobcat or HAMM. A landmark event for Pronar Wheels was the November 30th opening of another, the third plant in Narew, which will double production of disc wheels to reach two million units a year.
In order to increase independence from external suppliers, in May 2022 the Wire Harnesses Department was launched in Narew, producing electrical wiring harnesses not only for Pronar, but also supplying numerous external customers. The Department is staffed almost exclusively by ladies, whose accuracy and meticulousness contribute to the creation of very important components of each machine. Pronar sells its products in more than 90 countries on six continents. The company is growing dynamically, constantly investing, and each of its production departments presents modern machines and their components at international trade fairs. At 2023 Agritechnica Tradefair in Hanover, there were world premieres of, among others: new models of TG-series slurry tankers, the T8724 monocoque trailer with a payload of 23.5 tons, the T743M chaser bin and the PDD1050C double-sided disc mower. In turn, at last year’s IFAT 2022 in Munich (Europe’s largest recycling industry event), Pronar presented machines from its new design lines: mobile jaw crushers and mobile vibrating screens.
Creating new factories and the implementation of new technologies allow Pronar to produce machines intended for more industries, and to modernize those manufactured so far to increase their functionality and range of use. Constructors are also carrying out implementation work on a new group of machines intended for constructing and repairing roads (including soil stabilizers and binder spreaders).
In May 2021, the PRONAR Exhibition Centre in Siemiatycze – one of the few objects of its kind in Europe – was opened. In it you can get acquainted with the full range of Pronar products. On an area of more than 10 hectares, there is an indoor part (a permanent exhibition of the products of individual production departments, including subassemblies of machines made in Pronar) and an outdoor part (which is a presentation of more than 300 different machines).
The Exhibition Centre has already been visited by more than 20,000 guests from more than 100 countries. Among them have been buyers of the company’s products, dealers, suppliers, pupils and students, representatives of research institutes, as well as personalities from the world of business and politics, including the Head of Poland – President Andrzej Duda. The Exhibition Center organizes training sessions (for internal and external use), panel discussions and conferences. In this way, it becomes a kind of bridge between science and business.
A significant facilitation in Pronar’s relations with business partners and machine users is its own airport with the necessary infrastructure, as well as its air fleet (aircraft and helicopters). In 2020, CEO Sergiusz Martyniuk decided to establish the PRONAR Aviation Training Center. It helps people realize their flying dreams – to obtain a glider pilot’s license and glider aerobatic ratings, or ultralight aircraft pilot qualifications. Pronar’s 35 years of manufacturing experience is recognized in the form of numerous awards and distinctions received at home and abroad, such as Forbes Diamonds 2017, Individual Economic Award of the President of the Republic of Poland 2021, Gold Medals of the Poznań International Fair, Ananthus Aureus, Pearl of the Year 2020, Top Employer. Also recognized are the commitment and successes of Chairman Martyniuk, who has received numerous titles and awards, including: Honorary Citizen of the City of Siemiatycze, Heracles Golden Diploma, Personality of the Year.
The responsibility that comes with running a company that operates on a global scale is not only based on implementing more and more modern products into production, but also on creating opportunities for the development of employees. They participate in numerous courses and trainings to improve their qualifications and acquire new professional licenses. Pronar also cares about the development of passions and interests. This is served by the PRONAR Music Band and PRONAR Choir, as well as events co-organized by the company, such as the Maraton Nadbużański and the Duc Puszczy Rally Sprint.
The 35 years have been marked not only by the hard work of the entire team, but also by numerous successes. We look to the future with hope and great plans for the development of the entire Pronar company in global markets.
